How did you find out about the Time Bank?
I lived in Buffalo NY with my husband in the mid-2010s and very involved in their local mutual aid community. There was a time bank in the area that was getting off the ground before we left the area.
What prompted you to join?
I like idea of mutual aid. But I also have home maintenance and gardening help that I need. In terms of exchanges I can offer, I can teach art; I can offer spiritual mentorship; I can help with ritual creation in times of transitions.
Have you had any exchanges so far?
Not yet, I'm still new.
What are your first impressions of the Time Bank?
I haven't had any interactions yet, so can't say.
What are some ways we can improve how we reach out to the community?
Using video may be a good way of reaching out; maybe a video of volunteers at the Farmers' Market, maybe a work party, just something that shows people what time banking is in action.
