The Sewing Geeks are one of our activity groups that work with local nonprofits to create projects that benefit their clients. In the past, they created baby blankets to benefit a maternity clinic in the Lancaster area. Another time, they partnered with the Cecil and Grace Bean Soup Kitchen in Norristown to create aprons for their volunteers. This time, they've partnered with a nonprofit close to home.
This week, they delivered a number of fidget quilts to clients of Circle of Support. Fidget quilts are lap-sized blankets that help provide soothing sensory stimulation to help reduce anxiety and agitation for individuals with autism, dementia or Alzheimer's.
Check out their wonderful work and if you know any of our wonderful Sewing Geeks, let them know they did a fantastic job!
