What Happens When We Share What We Know?
From everyday help to lifelong skills, we connect people across generations to support one another and strengthen our community.
The Phoenixville Area Time Bank has been part of the TimeBanks USA network and continuously active since our founding in 2004. Our members are rooted primarily in the Phoenixville, PA community, with some joining us from surrounding areas.
For more than two decades, we have been woven into the life of Phoenixville. Members have contributed to the quarterly Phoenixville Repair Café, the Firebird Festival, Days for Girls, and other community initiatives. Our annual Pasta Party—now a take-home meal event—has grown steadily for 12 years thanks to a dedicated volunteer team. In recent years, we have expanded our reach by partnering with Good Samaritan Services and inviting supporters to purchase meals for their clients.
Time banking is the philosophy that guides everything we do. It is built on a simple principle: everyone’s time has equal value, and every person has something meaningful to offer. Through hour-for-hour exchanges, members build trust, connection, and a culture of mutual support that strengthens the entire community. This approach turns everyday actions into shared progress and ensures that our programs, events, and partnerships grow from reciprocity rather than charity.
Our values remain constant: every person has worth; everyone can contribute; communities are built through strong relationships; mutual support is powerful; and all people deserve respect. These values shape not only our internal culture but also the outcomes we aim for—neighbors helping neighbors, skills being shared, and a network of support that makes Phoenixville more resilient.
We welcome individuals, families, and organizations who share these values and want to participate in a community where everyone can give and receive. Whether you offer an hour or request one, you become part of a system that helps Phoenixville thrive and prosper.
Welcome - you belong here!
PATB in the Community
We've been a part of the Phoenixville community since 2004. We partner with many local and international nonprofits and community groups who share our goals. See how we've made an impact in the past and how with your help, we can do greater things together!
Days for Girls
As a local affiliate for over 10 years, our members created menstruation products in support of their mission. Many of the members are now part of the "Sewing Geeks" activity group where they work on projects close to their heart with local partners.
Parkhouse Nursing & Rehab Center
From gardening work on their grounds, to helping transport clients in their wheelchairs, to supporting clients day-to-day, our members can be counted on to be there.
Ann's Heart
In the past our members have helped make meals, volunteered at Code Blue, and helped with renovations. Currently we have members assisting in their HEART Garden that distributes food to those in need.
Orion Communities
Our members support Orion Communities events and initiatives by working as volunteers and ensuring events go smoothly.
Good Samaritan Services
For the last few years, we've partnered with Good Sams as a beneficiary of our Pasta Party fundraiser. During the event, through our website supporters can buy a meal for Good Sams clients. In 2025, through the help of our supporters and donors we were able to donate 41 meals!
Phoenixville Repair Cafe
Our members apply their sewing skills and knowledge of small appliance repair to volunteer for the quarterly Repair Cafes held at Technical College High School Pickering.
Circle of Support
We are currently in discussions with Circle of Support for developing a curriculum and providing training for their direct support professionals to better support their clients.
