Spotlight on: Janet Dynarski

Say hi to our new member, Janet Dynarski! Janet is a long-time resident of Mont Clare and retired Science teacher. She's very adept at word processing programs and spreadsheets and she's currently teaching at two local senior centers showing seniors how to use technology. She is a dog lover and adopted her two dogs from a couple of local shelters. If you are struggling with your new phone or device, reach out to her. She'll be happy to teach you! I spoke with Janet last week to welcome her to the Phoenixville Area Time Bank. Read about her below and when you see her, make sure to say hello!

How did you find out about the Time Bank?

A friend mentioned it 10 years ago. I forgot about it until I saw the Time Bank's Farmers Market stand and signed up recently.

What prompted you to join?

I have my own home and need handyman support.

What do you hope to get out of your membership?

I am hoping to connect with members who can give me handyman help.

Have you had any exchanges so far?

I am looking at giving another member computer support. She has been

unwell, so we will connect towards the end of March.

What are your first impressions of the Time Bank?

I can't say anything definitive yet. I'm still pretty new.

What are some ways we can improve how we reach out to the community?

Create flyers with what the Time Bank does and place them in bars or similar places where people congregate.
