Repair Cafe
The Repair Café is an organized group of “fixers” with varied talents who help fix a variety of items. The group is passionate about contributing to the community and also keeping repairable items out of landfills. The Repair Café is lead by Tiffany and Tyler and enough of our PATB members volunteer as fixers, that we formed an Activity Group! The approximately quarterly events are open to the public. The host site is the Technical College High School Pickering Campus in Phoenixville.
At the Repair Café, the guests may bring household items that need repair, and knowledgeable volunteers will help try to fix them for free. Guests only pay for needed parts. If guests know what parts are needed, please get them ahead of time and bring them to the Repair Café to save time. The volunteer fixers can work on items such as mendable clothing, lamps, small appliances, other electronics, bikes, toys, and jewelry. They can also sharpen knives and scissors. In order to serve as many individuals as possible, we have a limit of one item to repair per guest during busy times. Donations are welcome to keep the initiative going!
