We welcome individuals, families, and organizations that share our values of worth, contribution, connection, reciprocity, and respect. By joining the time bank, you become part of a network that strengthens the Phoenixville community through shared skills and mutual support.

Organizational members, especially nonprofits, can post volunteer needs that individual members fulfill in exchange for time dollars, whether independently or as group projects. This creates meaningful partnerships and broad opportunities for service.

For individual members, having a diverse range of nonprofits in the time bank opens doors to contribute across many causes, expand your impact, and engage with the full spectrum of community work. If you're ready to take the next step, select your membership type.

Membership dues

Managing a nonprofit like ours requires steady financial resources to operate responsibly and sustainably. Even without a physical office, there are real and recurring costs involved in serving our community well. These include printing and outreach materials to raise awareness, volunteer insurance to protect our members and the organization, website hosting and domain fees, membership and scheduling platforms, payment processing, data security, and other essential technology that keeps us connected and visible to the public. Membership dues help cover these foundational expenses, allowing us to focus our energy on community-building rather than constant fundraising, and ensuring continuity, reliability, and accountability in everything we do.

 

At the same time, we believe financial circumstances should never be a barrier to participation. That’s why we offer multiple membership tiers, including Pay What You Can options. This approach allows members to remain active and engaged while still making a financial contribution that reflects their current capacity. For those who are able, we also invite you to consider selecting a Pay It Forward option—an opportunity to help offset the cost of membership for another community member and strengthen the collective sustainability of our nonprofit.

Personal membership tiers

Regular membership, $25/year

For individual members who are able, this level reflects our recommended membership contribution. It supports our current operating costs and helps ensure we remain financially resilient as we plan for the future.

Pay What You Can, $5/year

There are seasons in life when finances are tight, and during those times, community can matter more than ever. This option exists to ensure you can remain connected, supported, and included. Paying at this level does not limit your participation—your presence, voice, and needs are just as valued, and you are always encouraged to ask for help and engage fully in community life.

Pay What You Can, $15/year

This level is for members who can contribute a bit more while still being mindful of their own circumstances. It helps cover a portion of our ongoing operating costs and supports the shared infrastructure that keeps our community running. By choosing this tier, you’re sustaining both your own membership and the collective systems that allow everyone to participate.

Pay It Forward, $50/year

For members with the means, this level provides meaningful financial stability for the nonprofit while helping sponsor access for others. Contributions at this tier help offset lower-cost memberships, strengthen our ability to plan ahead, and ensure no one is excluded due to financial hardship. Choosing this option is a powerful way to invest in the long-term health of the community and support members who need it most. Members who contribute at this level will be publicly acknowledged at the end of each financial year unless you opt to keep your contribution private.

Donor Member, $100/year

This tier is for members who are in a position to give a little more in support of the community they value. A Donor Membership helps strengthen the financial foundation of the nonprofit, supports long-term sustainability, and expands our ability to welcome and retain members regardless of their financial circumstances. Choosing this level is a generous act of care that helps ensure our community remains accessible, resilient, and thriving for everyone. Members who contribute at this level will be publicly acknowledged at the end of each financial year unless you opt to keep your contribution private.

Organizational membership tiers

Partner Organization, $50/year

Ideal for organizations with an established presence and steady support. This level supports collaboration, shared visibility, and mutual exchange within the community.


As a time bank member, your organization gains access to a values-driven network where time, skills, and relationships are exchanged—strengthening partnerships without increasing financial strain.
