Rachael Griffith

Board Member

Marketing & Communications Committee Chair

Rachael learned about timebanking through a course in permaculture design in 2011 and immediately connected with the concept. She moved to the Phoenixville area in 2017, in part because of the attraction of joining the Time Bank. Since then she has done a number of exchanges, participated in strategic planning efforts, served on the Marketing and Communications Committee, and most recently has joined the Board of Directors.

Rachael is a professional planner and licensed landscape architect, and her professional work has been dedicated to making public space more sustainable and civically oriented. She has experience working in the public, private and non-profit sectors and helped jumpstart a start-up environmental non-profit in Philadelphia. She currently works at the Chester County Planning Commission as the Sustainability Director. Rachael holds a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Temple University and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Rachael lives in East Vincent township with her husband, son, cats, and chickens. In her precious free moments Rachael makes time for her vegetable garden, which is never more than marginally successful but always brings great joy. She enjoys traveling, hiking, audiobooks, and checking things off her to-do list.
