Looking Back, Looking Forward: The Janus Gesture at the Turning of the Year
Born out of a deep interest in the Human Experience and the Soul, a Janus Meeting refers to an event that can take place toward the beginning of the new year, in many locales, and in an atmosphere of friendship and trust. Janus, the god who is named by "January", has two heads: one looks back at the past and one welcomes the future.
We start with a warm-hearted gathering and Brunch, at my home, taking some time to get acquainted. Then we retire to a quiet corner where we think back over the past year, maybe write a little about our experiences, or look over our calendar or a journal.
