The Bookworm Project at 822 Main Street in Phoenixville, PA was established to give community organizations low cost office and meeting space.
The Bookworm building is a beautiful old, stone home repurposed to serve our community. Community organizations may apply for a office space on the second or third floor of the mansion on a first-come-first-served basis.
On the main floor, parlors have been made into conference rooms. A small kitchen and a bathroom complete the amenities.
The Time Bank is fortunate to have secured an office on the third floor and is eligible to use the conference spaces and amenities on the first floor.
The cost is $1 per year and our share of utilities. A great bargain! The Bookworm Project will likely save each non profit thousands of dollars in rent and utilities, which can now be applied to their respective mission programs.
However, the Time Bank, along with the other non profit organizations, is responsible for helping to renovate and furnish their particularoffice space.
Fortunately, the Bookworm Project has received a matching grant to help underwrite a significant portion of the remaining renovations. But we need your help to complete the project so that we can move in during January 2020?
Please consider making a donation to our soon-to-be home at the Bookworm, today. All gift amounts are welcome and are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Invest in our Time Bank and our community today. And join us for many Time Bank events in our new digs during the New Year!
